Question: I live in a modern-style apartment and love the warmth of country-Victorian decor. What basic things will give me Old World looks?

Answer: Yvette Piaggio, interior designer and founder of Piaggio's Loft and Fabrication Studio says, "Start with color. Paint the walls in warm tones such as ivory or cream, and accent with darker browns and blues. Try to add a window seat; decorate it with cushions and accent pillows in different fabrics. On the windows, use a dramatic shimmery velvet or silk."
